FAQ 1) How much does it cost to get married at Under the Wild Oak?

Our wedding packages range from $1,500 - $3,995 depending on the season and day. Most couples spend around $3,500 on venue rental and appreciate our vendor freedom, which allows them to control their overall wedding budget.

FAQ 2) How many guests can Under the Wild Oak accommodate?

We can comfortably host up to 125 guests for ceremonies and receptions.

FAQ 3) What makes Under the Wild Oak unique?

Under the Wild Oak is a Texas Hill Country wedding venue featuring panoramic views, mature oak trees, indoor and outdoor event spaces, and vendor freedom—allowing couples to create a wedding that reflects their style rather than fitting into a pre-packaged experience.

FAQ 4) What is included with the venue rental?

These items are included in the base venue rental:

• tables and chairs

• cocktail tables

• indoor reception hall

• covered patio with fans

• outdoor ceremony area and stage

• prep kitchen for vendors

• large indoor bar

• parking

• base set up and breakdown

FAQ 5) what is NOT included in the venue rental?

These items are not included in the venue rental:

• Linens

• Wedding coordination/planning

• Florals and other décor

• Food

• Beverages

• Alcohol

• Ice

• Officiant

• DJ/Band

• Photography

• Security

FAQ 6) Do I have to use preferred vendors?

No. We offer complete vendor freedom. You're welcome to bring your own caterer, bartender, florist, photographer, DJ, planner, and other vendors provided they meet venue requirements. We do have a list of vendors we've previously worked with and would recommend, if requested.

FAQ 7) Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes. Couples may provide their own alcohol. A TABC- certified and insured bartender is required for alcohol service.

FAQ 8) Is there a rain plan?

We offer indoor and covered options that allow ceremonies and receptions to continue comfortably regardless of weather.

 

FAQ 9) How many hours are included?

Our wedding rentals include access for between 8 to 12 hours, providing ample time for setup, ceremony, reception and cleanup. Non-wedding rentals include access for between 4 to 12 hours.

FAQ 10) Can we host both our ceremony and reception onsite?

Yes. Most couples choose to host their ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and dance all at Under the Wild Oak.

 

FAQ 11) Is there parking?

Yes, we provide onsite parking for guests.

FAQ 12) Do you require wedding insurance?

While not required, we strongly recommend event insurance for additional protection and peace of mind.

 

FAQ 13) Is there a bridal suite?

We offer comfortable preparation areas for the wedding party prior to the ceremony.

 

FAQ 14) Where are you located?

Under the Wild Oak is located right off Interstate 10 in Comfort, Texas, approximately:

• 15 minutes from Boerne

• 35 Minutes from San Antonio, and

• 75 minutes from Austin

 

FAQ 15) Are Children Welcome?

Absolutely. We love family-friendly celebrations and offer amenities (bounce houses and soft play) that make weddings enjoyable for guests of all ages. Ask us about our wedding nanny recommendations.

FAQ 16) Do I need security?

If you have more than 50 guests and are serving alcohol, security is required.
